A quick note on safety
You’re connecting directly with a neighbor, not a vetted company. Use the same judgment you’d use meeting anyone new. Meet in a public place when you can, especially for a first exchange. Trust your gut if something feels off, and don’t be afraid to back out. Only share the personal information you’re comfortable sharing, and let a friend or family member know where you’re headed if you’re meeting someone in person.
Heavens to Betsy reviews new listings before they go live, but we can’t verify everyone who uses this site. That’s part of what it means to build something person to person instead of through an institution. Look out for each other.
